Write for Us – Submit a Guest Post

New Information as of 04/19/2013:

Would you like to write for us?

We welcome guest posts here at Everyday Christianity. Guest posts give our visitors fresh perspectives beyond what we can provide. The important thing is that it provides useful value for everybody, including us!

If you have your own blog or website that is related to one or more of the areas shown below, we invite you to submit your article to us. When it is published we will give you credit as an Author under your own name with a link to your blog or website. We will also update our Twitter page with a link to your article there.

But please, link only to a domain you registered and own–no links to an affiliate site or to a site that belongs to someone else.

Share your thoughts with all of our readers by writing about any of the categories shown on this page.  If we use your guest post you won’t be financially compensated but you will be given full author credit while you enrich the lives of other families.

Above all, remember that this is a two-way proposition. We are looking for quality, well-written material that would be of interest to our readers and, in return, we are offering you a followed backlink to your own website.

We receive many guest posts and we’re not able to use everything that’s submitted. We may decline to use your post because of its quality, the relevance of your topic, because we have more posts than we can use, or because we’ve published a number of posts on the topic recently.  We’re looking for guest posts that present new ideas, fresh perspectives, and innovative approaches. We like to present readers with ideas that we haven’t seen elsewhere online.

Please note that it can take up to 10 days for us to review your submission. Please do not send us “reminder” emails within this time—they won’t help us get to your submission any faster.

To help you with your writing, to increase the chances of our being able to use your post, and to help us get your post ready for publishing on EverydayChristianity.com, we’ve put together a few guidelines and suggestions for you below.

Submission of your guest post does not guarantee publication. Your submission will be reviewed and if we feel it will benefit Everyday Christianity readers, it is very likely to be published.

Original Content.  It must be 100% original content that has never been and will never be published elsewhere and must pass a Copyscape.com plagiarism inspection. Please no spam or “spun” articles. We want this to be a “win/win” situation where you benefit with a link to your website and we get quality content for our readers.

Length – It should be 300-500 words long.

BioYour article must be submitted in your own name. You may include a short bio of you along with a link to your own website.

Links – No affiliate links and no links to spam sites are allowed and no links of any kind can be contained in the body of the article.
In other words, links can only be to your own personal domain and should be related to the subject of your article.

Edits –Please make a concerted effort to use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation. Due to time constraints, submissions which require excessive editing cannot be accepted.

Topics – Please limit content to the categories shown below.

Finally, please bear this in mind when you write:

While we hope content on our website will be of interest and value to anyone who comes to here, our primary focus and ministry is to Christians and their families. Even with the many secular categories we offer, there must be nothing that would be inconsistent or offensive to our desired focus. Acceptability of all guest posts is the sole responsibility of EverydayChristianity.com and all become the property of EverydayChristianity.com.
