Everlasting Love

InfiniteLove Everlasting LoveBrothers and Sisters in Christ,

I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. Jeremiah 31:3

Through the prophet Jeremiah God spoke these words to Israel and to those grafted in through Jesus Christ. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines everlasting as lasting or enduring through all time: ETERNAL

So, how does the Bible specifically address this eternal love God has for you?

First, His love and presence was there before you were born.

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Psalm 139:16

Second, His love and presence is with you every moment of your life in this world.

You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Psalm 139:5

Third, His love and presence accompanies you into eternity.

I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. Psalm 139:7-8

Do you really have a concept of eternity? Can you imagine infinite time—having no beginning or end? Or are you caught up in the day-to-day activity of this world to the extent that it appears that this life is all there is? If so, and if you are a Christian, stop for moment and meditate on these verses. While you will probably not be able to comprehend eternity, you have contact with Someone who can.

Be still in the Lord and think about this awesome mystery of a Love so great that it embraces and surrounds you from before birth through the grave and into life in the physical presence of God.

Ask the Lord to give you an experiential knowledge of His presence and love. Make Paul’s prayer for you be your prayer for yourself:

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:18-19

Practice His Presence.

Love,
Brother Bill
